This week at Vapeology we are launching our product reviews and first to be put to the sword is the brand new Uwell Caliburn G3.

Now in the past I have used a decent amount of Uwell Caliburn products and in fact my first pod kit was the original Uwell Caliburn which sent me down the rabbit hole of mouth to lung pod kits. Uwell have always managed to deliver a great mouth to lung vaping experience and the Uwell Caliburn G3 is no different.

What New Features Does The Uwell Caliburn G3 Have?

Uwell have spent some time perfecting their craft with the caliburn series and have given us a few nice upgrades here with the Caliburn G3. The G3 now features a small OLED display which clearly shows you some important information such as battery level, wattage, coil resistance and puff count. Uwell have also improved the battery life compared to the previous Caliburn G2 rising from a 750mah to 900mah this is an impressive 20% increase. As well as this the Uwell Caliburn G3 features replaceable pods as opposed to a pod with a replaceable coil like we have seen in the Caliburn G2 and G1, this could be to combat leakage as Uwell now state they have added 'Stronger Anti Leakage' to the caliburn G3.

UWell Caliburn G3 Vaping Experience

Vaping the Uwell Caliburn G3 has been a pleasant vaping experience I feel the changes that have been made are definitely improvements. I really like the airflow options that you get with each pod and it's as easy as turning the pod around to change the airflow. My personal favourite is the 0.9 Ohm pod which provides a really nice mouth to lung draw at 15w however if you prefer more of a punchy hit then the 0.6 which powers up to 25w is a great option as well. 

I have found the pods provide a great flavour and satisfying hit regardless of which resistance you use. The only downside I have found so far is the e-liquid seems to turn from a clear colour to a more tinted yellow colour rather quickly, this is something that is common in vaping but not normally after a few hours usage. However this could be down to the juice rather than the pod itself, only time will tell. 

You shouldn't find yourself having any issues with battery life with the 900mah capacity I am getting a good amount of usage and thanks to 2a fast charging via usb c 20-30 minutes is plenty to get you back to full charge.

Final Verdict:

After a decent amount of time using the Caliburn G3 I'm pleased to say it is a great new pod system to the market and provides competition to the Oxva Xlim Pro and the Vaporesso Xros 3. Will I be fully switching from my Xros 3 yet? That I'm not totally sure on but the Caliburn G3 will definitely be in my pod rotation. If you are in the market for a discrete vape, maybe you're looking for your first kit after switching from disposables or cigarettes then you really can't go wrong with the Uwell Caliburn G3.
